What does the 'four quarters of the earth' mean in Revelation 20?

The 'four quarters of the earth' in Revelation 20 means all nations across the entire planet, from one end of the earth to the other. It includes all the nations that participated in the first rebellion at the Tower of Babel, identified as Gog and Magog, gathered for battle.

Les explains that the four quarters of the earth refers to all nations worldwide, from one end of this planet to the other. It includes every nation that was part of the first rebellion at the Tower of Babel, called Gog and Magog. After the thousand years, Satan is loosed and deceives these multitudes, gathering them for battle—almost a second battle of Armageddon—with numbers like the sand of the sea. They surround the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire from God comes down from heaven and devours them, and Satan is cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:8

And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
