Les Feldick Bible Study

Why is there no sin during the thousand-year Kingdom?

Sin is absent because Satan is locked up for the thousand years, so there is no tempter to activate the Adamic nature. People still possess that nature, but without Satan’s testing it remains inoperative. Thus no real rebellion occurs, and the Kingdom becomes a glorious, Eden-like utopia.

Les explains that those who enter the Kingdom as believers will have children, but those children will still be born with the Adamic nature. The believers themselves are safe for eternity, yet their descendants inherit that nature. The key is that God locks up Satan at the beginning of the thousand years. Without Satan on the scene to test these Adamic natures, there is no real rebellion and no sin; the Adamic nature simply lies inoperative because there is nobody to activate it. So for a thousand years it is glorious, a utopia everyone looks for, and also a dispensational period. Les contrasts this with Adam and Eve leaving the Garden: all circumstances changed, bringing sweat, weeds, thistles, sickness, disease, war, famine, and the curse, none of which were in the Garden.
