Why does the teaching that God replaced Israel with the Church destroy all end-time prophecy?
If God abrogated His promises to Israel and transferred them to the Church, then end-time prophecy loses its intended recipient, because all prophecy is directed solely to the Jew. Replacing Israel with the Church cancels the prophetic program tied to Israel and leaves no scriptural subject for last-day fulfillment.
Les explains that after Emperor Constantine embraced Christianity around 300–315 A.D., the Church exploded in numbers and gained the sanction of the Emperor. When the first Church Father mentioned saw this and reflected that the Jewish Temple had been totally destroyed and the Jew had been uprooted from his homeland and sent as vagabonds throughout the Roman Empire, he concluded God was through with the Jew. He therefore treated all promises given to Israel and Abraham as abrogated and given instead to the Church.
