Why will there be a population explosion in the Millennial Kingdom?
The believers who survive the tribulation enter the Millennial Kingdom and become the parents of children. With no death, sickness, curse, or Satan, and with Christ ruling in perfect government, reproduction continues under ideal conditions, producing a tremendous population explosion.
Les explains that during the tribulation most people will lose their lives, but a few survive. Of that surviving percentage, the sheep of Matthew 25 are believers who enter the Kingdom and become the parents of the children pictured in Isaiah 11. In that Kingdom there is no death, no sickness, no curse, and no Satan, and Christ will be in total control with a perfectly perfect rule and government. Therefore, Les says, there will be a tremendous population explosion. Isaiah 11:9 adds that they will not hurt or destroy in all His holy mountain—a mountain in the Old Testament especially means a Kingdom—so there is no hurting, destroying, or death to speak of. The reason given is that the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the water covers the sea. Les also points to Amos 9 and many more Old Testament references to this earthly Kingdom.
