Who are the believers that helped the 144,000 in the tribulation?
They are the believers who have been saved through the message brought by the 144,000 Jewish witnesses during the tribulation. Having survived the tribulation’s awful events and realizing the salvation these Jews brought them, they sacrificially share whatever little they have to sustain the 144,000, whom Jesus treats as His own.
Les explains that the 144,000 will suffer the same privations described in Matthew 25: they cannot buy, sell, or transact business without the mark of the beast, so they will end up hungry, thirsty, and naked. The believers who have survived the awful events of the tribulation, realizing the salvation these Jews brought them, will sacrifice whatever little they have to help these 144,000. Jesus says that inasmuch as they did it unto them, they did it unto Him. This is the only setting that fits.
