What event is described in Matthew 25:31?

Matthew 25:31 describes the Second Coming of Christ, when the Son of Man comes in His glory with all the holy angels and then sits upon the throne of His glory. This event is His return, and the throne is established in Jerusalem, where the gathered nations appear before Him.

Les explains that Matthew 25:31 begins the account of Christ's Second Coming. Jesus says that when the Son of Man comes in His glory, all the holy angels come with Him, and then He sits on the throne of His glory. Les points out this throne will be in Jerusalem. Verse 32 then says all nations are gathered before Him. Because most of the nations have been killed and devastated, those gathered are the surviving representatives of every nation, both saved and lost. These survivors are supernaturally brought to Jerusalem to stand before the King.
